A Day in the Life of a World Racer

Welcome to the World Race blog! Over the next few months, we’re going to share stories from the field straight from the participants that we lovingly call the Racers. You’ll get to read and watch stories about brokenness, redemption, grace, adventure and a whole lot more. It may wreck you in the best ways and it may prompt you to go and do what sets your heart on fire.

Maybe you’re curious about what this whole Race thing is about, or maybe you’re wondering if it’s a good fit for you.

We get it, we’ve been in your shoes and most of us were sitting right where you are now, reading the blogs, scrolling through the ‘Gram, watching the videos and wondering if maybe, just maybe God’s calling you to more.

Now let’s get started…

Our team often gets asked, “What does ministry look like on the World Race?”

And while every day may look a little different, our mission always remains the same. We want to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth and spread God’s love everywhere we go.

And at the end of the day, we want Racers coming home ready to live a Kingdom way of life wherever God calls them next in the world.

But first, what is a Kingdom way of life?

We sum it up like this: Know God, Love Others and Make Disciples

Our heart’s burn for World Racers to know God deeply, to build loving community and to make a difference as they make disciples.

Will Holt and his Gap Year team served at one of our bases in Guatemala and discovered what a Kingdom way of life looks like lived out. Curious what they did? Click below to find out.
