WORLD RACE

Project Searchlight

BEGIN THE ADVENTURE THAT IS THE REST OF YOUR LIFE

You went on the World Race to learn to live missionally and go on an adventure, but you don’t want to stop living that way now that the Race is over. You’re coming home with some crazy stories, a few Kingdom dreams . . . and a whole lot of unknowns.

Coming home is a major life transition. It’s full of opportunity, but also really hard. It’s a time for rest and happy reunions, but can also be surprisingly lonely: home looks different, community feels lacking, and the future is uncertain. It’s easy to find yourself binge-watching Netflix and consuming copious amounts of Chick-fil-A.

We get it, we’ve been there, and we want to help you transition well into the adventure that is the rest of your life. That’s why we started Project Searchlight.

If training camp prepares you for the World Race, Project Searchlight prepares you to come home. Here, you’ll have space to debrief your post-Race life with your awesome squadmates. But this is more than just a time to reflect. We want to equip you and set you up for success wherever you land next, and we’ve gathered a number of alumni speakers to lead sessions and breakout discussions designed to help you navigate the season after the Race.

We have one upcoming Project Searchlight!

January 28 – February 2

Where Should I Fly To?

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL)

What If My Flight Arrives Late?

Airport transportation needed at any other time is the responsibility of the traveler.

Ok, I’m Driving there. What Time Should I Arrive?

Meet at Adventures in Missions (6000 Wellspring Trail, Gainesville, GA 30506) between 3pm and 4:30pm.

What Should I Pack?

Journal
Bible
Sleeping Bag + Pillow + Sleeping Pad
Shorts & Athletic Shoes (We’ll have some fun activities.)
Swimwear
Towel. Shower Shoes. Bathroom stuff.

Where Will I Sleep?

Sleeping conditions will be comfortable, yet rugged. Because we have to find FREE housing for several squads, you might sleep on the floor of a gym, in a cabin, or anywhere else you can think of. Housing will probably be a 20min drive from the event.

How Will I Get Around Gainesville?

You will need to find some people to car pool with. There’s plenty to do around town and there’s always enough people with cars to hitch a ride.

Will There Be Any Free Time?

Yup! Every single afternoon and evening you’ll have free time to hang out with your friends and relax.
