Formerly the British colony of Rhodesia, Zimbabwe shares the majestic Victoria Falls with Zambia.

Yet despite its natural beauty and resources like gold and diamonds, this country struggles for hope.

Amnesty International reports that the current government has allowed human rights violations in Zimbabwe to escalate for years. A recent economic meltdown has led thousands to emigrate or be displaced within the country.

While 75% of Zimbabweans claim Christianity as their faith, many often mix in ancient, tribal practices and ancestral worship.

Will you share God’s love in a country hungry for hope?

A firm handshake with the right hand is the most common form of greeting.

An arm’s length is a normal distance for conversations. Males are never to touch or put an arm on a married woman. Personal space between men can be very close, holding hands among men is perfectly normal.

Licking the lips while staring at someone of the opposite sex is an obscene gesture. Speaking to someone with your hands in your pockets can be viewed as rude behavior.
If you are near Victoria Falls, you need to go check it out. One of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, this is the largest waterfall on earth. There’s a cash only entrance fee.

For an additional cost, you can bungee jump, swing, raft, and even zip line!

Behind Elephant Walk at Victoria Falls is a market. Get your bartering face on and have fun.

Check out the Matopos Rhino Park near Bulawayo.
