Experience God’s heart of redemption for the nations
Squad is in the Field
I grew up in a Christian home with parents who know and love God. But as I became an adult, I ventured far from my faith. I spent several years pursuing selfish ambitions and wandering through life without real purpose or passion. But thankfully God goes after the one, and ultimately, in His kindness and love, He began to restore, redeem, and reawaken me to Himself.
In the spring of 2008, after a couple years of authentically following Jesus, I stumbled upon the World Race. I was blown away by the opportunity to go on a journey with God, to see, experience, discover, and learn more about who God is and what my role in His Kingdom might be. Having never been on a mission trip, or ever left the country, I launched on the World Race in January 2009 and have never looked back.
Over the last 10 years, my wife and I have dedicated our lives to leading, loving, and empowering Racers. We love watching them discover the deep love of the Father, the brilliance of Jesus, and the power and creativity of the Spirit. We also have four children we're raising to live a Kingdom way of life. We are thrilled and honored to go on a journey with you.
Tim and I met in 1983 at Southwestern Baptist Seminary and have been married for 35 years, 34 of them happy. (Year 13 was a pistol!)
Over the years Tim has pastored two Southern Baptist churches while I stayed involved in youth and women's ministry. In 2012 it was clear that God was calling us away from our church home on the outskirts of Montgomery, Alabama. It was a very sad time for all of us!
Tim and I had learned over the years that when asking God for more we should expect a period of pruning... and of waiting. During this time of transition, the youngest of our three grown sons went on the World Race, which the Lord used to usher us into our next season. We have been World Race coaches for years and also have the privilege of being part of the leadership team for the World Race as a whole.
We love the opportunity to help people grow in their understanding of life with God, His Kingdom, and the fact that every single day, life is ministry and ministry is life!
Hey. My name is Austin. My father is a big Dallas Cowboys fan and wanted to name me Dallas, but my mom was definitely not naming her child Dallas(thanks mom!). Since Austin is a city in Texas, it was negotiated to be my name. I love the Fall and spring. They are my favorite times of the year, also the best times of the year to go for a run(or motorcycle ride), which I love as well. I also love ultimate frisbee, tennis, volleyball, football and other sports activities. Also I have no shame and fully comfortable in saying that I love Channing Tatum. He's a good looking man who can dance. Just sayin'
