At 10 AM sharp, we began cleaning the Fillonican church to prepare for us leaving on Monday. Music played on speakers or in headphones as the dishes were put away, floors were swept, and bathrooms were deep cleaned. We cleaned with the vision of leaving the church better than we found it and blessing our gracious hosts instead of burdening them. Every crevice is sparkling.
After a “job well done,” people dressed up in swimsuits or swim trunks to head to the beach or a local water park to cool off from the heat of the afternoon. Taking her leadership skills to the next level, Ashlynn Spinabella discovered and organized a group to go to Aqua Village.

Others basked in cold air near the AC unit, making calls home. On this trip, it has been a priority to find the balance between ministry, studying, and taking the time to recharge and rest.
