In September 2017, we’re continuing the Gap Year legacy. So far we’ve sent hundreds of participants to the far corners of the Earth to share the hope of the Gospel. Spend your gap year serving everywhere from the Gobi Desert in Mongolia to the rugged mountains of Ecuador— all for the purpose of sharing Christ’s love with those who are hungry for Him.
This route takes you from sharing the Gospel in the 10/40 Window to meeting the felt needs of those living in the poorest country of the world.
Check out countries below to see just where in the world this Gap Year route will take you.
Mongolia
Mongolia contains the vast Gobi Desert and very little arable land, making it one of the most sparsely populated countries in the world. A third of the population is nomadic, traveling with their horse across vast expanses. The majority of the Mongolian people are either non-religious or Tibetan Buddhist, with very little exposure to the Gospel. The nation is in great need of missionaries to encourage the Christian population and reach out to those still searching.
China
While China has grown in leaps and bounds industrially, intellectually, and economically, it's still a politically closed nation. The underground church is extensive and continues growing—even thriving—amidst persecution, with new miracles reported every day. Join the amazing missionaries working here, and live your own stories of impact in China.
Zambia
With the country near the bottom of the United Nations Human Development Index, the Zambian people still suffer from poverty, short life expectancy, malnourishment, lack of clean water, and the AIDS crisis. Zambia needs encouragement from missionaries who can remind them of God’s faithfulness in the face of challenges.
Malawi
According to the World Bank, Malawi is the poorest country in the world. There is a huge felt need for basics such as clean water and sanitation. We know it’s God’s heart for the people of Malawi to thrive with access to these amenities. Get the opportunity to serve by meeting the felt needs and sharing the love of Christ here.
Ecuador
Ecuador is packed full of natural beauty. From the Amazon river to glaciers atop Andean volcanoes, this country is sure to enthrall you—and its people too. As diverse as its landscapes, the indigenous and Incan influences give this country a unique culture. With more than half of the population sitting at or below the poverty line, Ecuador is a country waiting for God's Kingdom to come.
We at the World Race believe we can
transform the world with God’s love.
