From the breathtaking Andes Mountains, to the vast coastal deserts, to the lush tropical rainforests of the Amazon Jungle, Peru is one of the most biodiverse countries on Earth.

The birthplace of several proud, ancient civilizations, present- day Peru is also home to multiple indigenous groups who blend into a unique and beautiful culture.

Many locals maintain ties to their cultural heritage and indigenous beliefs, but a strong movement of the local church is transforming this nation.

The Peruvian concept of time is fairly relaxed; you may have to adapt to a more flexible schedule.

Corn, potatoes and rice are staples of Peruvian food.
Machu Picchu is an incredible ancient temple, a ruin from the Incan Empire thousands of years ago. It’s absolutely worth the trek if you are able to go!

Lima is a city full of amazing food and places to explore. Visit the old town to see the remains of the colonial Spanish era.

Cusco is a town full of ruins from the Incan Empire and the Spanish colonial era. You’ll find old cathedrals built on Incan temples, and remnants from ancient and modern cultures everywhere.
